Immigration X-ray
Wentworth-Halton X-ray & Ultrasound is a licensed facilitator for immigration chest x-ray examinations. Our sites at Young Street in Hamilton and Speers Road in Oakville are equipped with the software used by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, in the processing of immigration medical examinations.
Mammography
A mammogram is performed as a screening tool to aid in the early detection and diagnosis of breast diseases or as a diagnostic tool when patients have symptoms such as a lump, nipple discharge or pain using a low-dose x-ray system.

The Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP) is a province-wide, organized breast screening program that provides high-quality breast cancer screening.
Ultrasound
An ultrasound scan is a diagnostic imaging test that uses high-frequency sound waves to capture live images of the inside of your body. It’s also known as sonography. Unlike other imaging techniques, ultrasound uses no radiation.

X-rays are the most frequently used form of medical imaging. They are used to identify fractures, dislocations, infection, arthritis, abnormal bone growth, diseases or to ascertain the presence and/or location of foreign objects.
Bone Mineral Densitometry
Bone Mineral Densitometry (BMD) scanning is an enhanced form of x-ray technology (also known as a DEXA scan) that is used to measure the density of your bones. These scans will determine if you have osteoporosis or are at risk of osteoporosis before you sustain osteoporotic-related fractures of any bones.
Ultrasound-Guided Breast Biopsy
A breast biopsy is a procedure in which a sample is taken from a suspicious area in order to determine the presence or absence of breast cancer. This procedure has traditionally been performed only in hospitals, but in order to reduce wait times and expedite diagnosis, we provide this service in specified clinics.
Videofluoroscopic Swallow Study
A videofluoroscopy (VFSS) is a noninvasive examinations that records an x-ray of your swallowing at different stages. You will be asked to chew and swallow a variety of foods and drinks, and this will be recorded during the procedure to allow us to examine what occurred.

Uninsured Services
The Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) provides coverage for a vast majority of diagnostic services when medically necessary; however, there are some services that are not covered. WH X-Ray is pleased of offer these valuable diagnostic services.
